Over fifty percent of American marriages end in divorce every year. As a result, many people end up getting married a second time. Marriages used to be considered a holy commitment between two people and God, but as America has grown towards disliking any kind of God, marriages have become less significant and wedding vows broken almost every minute. This is one thing that first and second wedding have in common. It doesn’t matter if the bride or groom has been married before, the wedding is still always centered on the bride. Invitation Wording Invitations are different for second weddings. In particular, the wording of the invitations is different if this is the brides second wedding. Normally, the wording on the wedding invitation shows that the parents of the bride are hosting the wedding. For a second wedding, the wording shows that the bride and groom are hosting the wedding. Less Extravagant Second weddings need not to be as flashy and extravagant as first weddings are. Some celebrity weddings end up being flashy and tend to just end in divorce. Second weddings should be more quite, reserved, and intimate. Guests One reason for a less extravagant wedding is because of the smaller amount of guests attending the wedding. Many people who attended the first wedding felt obligated to come and don’t want to attend your second wedding. Still others might not want to come because they don’t agree with you having a second wedding. There shouldn’t be a large number of bridesmaids or groomsmen either. Maybe just your maid of honor and the best man are enough. This is great because you don’t have to buy wedding jewelry or bridal jewelry for the maid of honor. You may want to buy wedding jewelry or bridal jewelry for yourself. A tin cup necklace would be perfect for a small simple wedding. Attire The bride’s wedding dress shouldn’t be as extravagant as her first wedding dress she wore at her first wedding. A simple gown with a small train will be elegant enough.
